Class 20(3) In a venetian blind assembly in which a slat adjustment spindle (not shown) extends in a channel shaped blind support member 1 and rotates a plurality of rollers 9 to which the blind ribbons are attached, the rollers are journalled in upwardly open recesses 8 formed in the end walls of U-shaped brackets 4. The ribbons, which extend through apertures 2 and 5 in the brackets 4 and support member 1 respectively, are secured by a tongue 13 in recesses 11, 12 formed in the rollers and the ribbons are protected against wear by rollers 14 and a bead 6 formed around the edge of aperture 2.
