A boring bar-holder comprises a block 1 having parallel faces 2, 3, and a bore 8 flanked by a V-groove 9 in which the boring-bar 12 is clamped by screws 10 having dished ends 14. The holder is clamped at 4 in a lathe &c. toolbox 5 and inter-changeable packing-pieces 7 may be secured to the face 3 by screws 17.
