Abstract

868,086. Anchor-nuts; spring clips. ZIEHR, W. Jan. 21, 1958 [Jan. 22, 1957], No. 1998/58. Classes 44 and 89(1). [Also in Group XXII] A spring clip 1a, Figs. 1, 3, adapted to hold a nut body 14, bolt head &c., to form an anchornut &c., comprises a base 1 with aperture 2 and bent-up guides 5, 6, joined by a bend 5a to a cover 7 formed by arms 10, 11 which open to receive the body &c., through a restricted opening 71. The base may have a part 19 to hold the clip to a workpiece or hold a washer below the nut body, or have holes for riveting or screwing the clip to a workpiece. In another arrangement, the arms are interconnected at their free end 82, Fig. 6 of cover 7 and the restricted opening 80 is formed through the bend 18.
