Abstract

859,663. Power - take off mechanisms. SCHLEPPERWERK NORDHAUSEN VEB. Aug. 5, 1959, No. 26708/59. Class 79(2). An agricultural tractor is provided with a forwardly or rearwardly extending power-take off shaft and additional shafts extending laterally or downwards. As shown, a forwardly extending power-take off shaft 5 driven through a shaft 4 and gear 17 from either of the gears 18 or 19, one of which is connected to the driving arrangement for the wheels and the other being connected to the engine independently of the wheel drive, is provided with a bevel wheel 6 which may mesh with bevel wheels on additional shafts 5. The power-take off gear-box 3 is mounted for longitudinal displacement on rails 2 beneath the tractor body and may be placed at the-front or rear of the vehicle.
