Abstract
835,975. Pressure-relieving devices for fluids. JORDAN, W. Jan. 7, 1958 [July 15, 1957], No. 579/58. Class 135. A pressure surge absorber for use in pipelines comprises a compensating chamber 1, Figs. 1 and 2, to which a pressure medium is admitted through a connection 20 and which is concentrically mounted by means of finned conical end plates 14, 15 on pipe sockets 4, 5 connected to the pipe-line 10, 11. The sockets 4, 5 carry therebetween a perforated tube 3 on which is supported a resilient tubular member 2 of corrugated cross-section sealingly clamped at its ends between flanges 16 on the end plates and flanges 18 on the chamber.
