794,691. Automatic couplers. BUCKEYE STEEL CASTINGS, CO. Aug. 16, 1956, No. 25101/56. Class 103(5) A knuckle coupler provided with an aligning wing 19 and pocket 23 has the lower wall of the pocket 23 cut away as at 27 (Fig. 4) so as not to foul the conventional air line and cock and the consequent loss of aligning capacity is taken over by a centrally placed tapered lug 56 forming an integral extension of a shelf 45 secured to the underside of the coupler head.
