Abstract

Spinning solutions comprise polyacrylonitrile or a copolymer of acrylonitrile, e.g. with acrylamide, a solvent therefor such as dimethyl formamide, and polyvinyl acetate added in solid or dissolved form to the solution during the course of its preparation in a proportion of 5-15 per cent, calculated on the solids content of the solution.
