Abstract
750,913. Fluid-actuated valves. JEAVONS & CO., Ltd., E. E. Feb. 2, 1954 [June 25, 1953], No. 17613/53. Class 135. A gas service governor has a relief port between a pressure chamber 10 and a release passage 37 through a sleeve 27 clamped to the diaphragm 11 and having a seating edge 24 at one end, a grooved valve stem 29 within the sleeve and connected to a valve seat 34, and a spring 35 urging the sleeve end on to the seat. Excess pressure in the chamber 10 closes the main control valve 19 and then lifts the diaphragm and sleeve away from the seat to allow relief through the passage 37 to atmosphere.
