748,922. Agricultural implements. ILES, G. A. Nov. 5, 1954 [Nov. 5, 1953], No. 30585/53. Class 6 (1). To enable a plough 10 to be connected to a tractor 11 in a laterally offset position relatively to the tractor for ploughing close to the boundary of a field, a cross-shaft 14 is provided with two sets of towing brackets 15, 16 and 17, 18 and an auxiliary upstanding bracket 20 for connection to the tractor power-lift attachment. As shown in Fig. 1, the plough is connected in the offset position. For normal ploughing the towing links 23, 24 of the tractor are attached to the brackets 17, 18 and the upper link 25 is connected to a bracket 12 mounted on the plough frame and connected to the cross-shaft by a clamp 13. To adjust the furrow width the cross-shaft 14 is adjusted relatively to the plough frame by means of a handle 44 fixed to the cross-shaft and having a plunger 46 which co-operates with a detent 48 mounted on the plough frame. The clamps on the cross-shaft are locked in a position which will permit rotation of the cross-shaft but are sufficiently tight to prevent longitudinal movement of the crossshaft.
