Abstract

740,577. Collapsible display stands. HEER, A. GRAEBENER-, [trading as GRAEBENER, R. [firm of]]. July 10, 1953 [July 10, 1952; April 13, 1953], No. 19184/53. Class 3(2) [Also in Group XVII] A stand and the lid of a display carton are connected by resilient means for automatically setting up the stand and opening the lid when a wrapper is removed. In one embodiment a tab 3 attached to the lid has a part 9 and extensions 6 round which an elastic band 19 passes, the extensions 6 being set up by the band to engage the carton rear wall 7 and limit opening of the lid. The stand consists of a sheet 11 hinged to the wall 7 and having notches 18 for engagement by the band. A flap 13 hinged to the carton base, limits the outward swinging of the stand. In another embodiment, a tab 23 secured to the lid has an extension 27 entering a slot 28 in the wall 29 to limit the lid opening. The stand consists of a sheet having slits 33 extending between hinge lines 35, 36 to give parts 39, 40 forming a triangular support.
