Class 18 A letter plate attachment comprises a closure flap 17 opening outwardly, pivoted to a casing 15 secured to the outside of the door and providing an outwardly sloping seat for the flap. A pivoted knocker 24 may be provided. In further forms, a knocker may be mounted on the flap 17, or the flap itself may act as a knocker.
