Class 7 (ii) [Also in Group XXXIV] The bearing 5 of the crankshaft 1 of a twostroke engine is lubricated by fuel containing lubricant which is forced into a closed chamber 7 through a duct 9 on increase of crankcase pressure, and sucked from the chamber 7 on decrease of crankcase pressure. The chamber 7 is disposed at a point at which the temperature is lower than in the casing of the engine in order to produce a condensation of the lubricant particles. A similar chamber 7 is provided adjacent the bearing 6. In a modification, the fluid is admitted to the chamber 7 through a duct 10, Fig. 2, containing a non-return valve 11, and a duct 13 containing a non-return valve 14 provides communication between the lower end of the chamber 7 and the bearing, 5.
