Abstract

643,628. Distribution boards. COMMUNICATIONS PATENTS, Ltd., and EXWOOD, M. June 23, 1948, No. 16872. [Class 38 (i)] A circuit connector comprises an insulating base 4 carrying a plurality of conducting bars 14 carrying two sets of terminal screws 15 at their ends and separated by walls 9, 10 integral with the base. The bars are retained in place by a transverse strap 11 integral with or separable from the base, or by the strap and the screws 15 entering blind holes in the base. The strap terminates short of the tops of the walls so as to define a central channel to accommodate branch circuit conductors which are connected to the inner sets of screws 15, main circuit conductors being connected to the outer sets of screws. The sets of screws are staggered on either side of the centre lines of the bars so that different sizes of conductor may be received in the different sized spaces between the screws and the adjacent walls. The base may be mounted in a box.
