Abstract
621,574. Container closures; hollow-ware. PLESSEY CO., Ltd. June 4, 1946, No. 16932. Convention date, June 15, 1945. [Classes 66 and 125(iii)] A container for an electric unit comprises a housing 1 having a shoulder 7 formed in its open end, a cover 2 seated on said shoulder, and a cover-retaining ring 3 in the form of a flat annulus with a rim disposed at an angle thereto, said rim engaging resiliently with the inner wall of the housing to cause the ring to press upon the cover. As shown, the housing and cover are of " Bakelite " (Registered Trade Mark) and the cover has a disc 8 of rubber, neoprene or the like secured thereto. Ring 3 is of spring steel and the rim consists of a series of teeth-like projections 14; alternatively the rim may be solid.
