[Class 6(i)] A cutter disc for a plant - thinning machine comprises a circular toothed disc 1 fixed to a hub 3 rotatable on an .axle 2, the disc haying a cut-away s e c t o rshaped part 5, and having the majority of its teeth 10 bent outwardly in one direction and a minority 6, 7, 8, 9 bent in the opposite direction. The parts of the disc adjacent to the cut-away sector are pressed out of the plane of the disc by adjusting screws 12 carried on arms 11 attached to the hub 3, so throwing earth in opposite directions on each side of a block of plants to be preserved.
