563,682. Silencers. MALE, C. E. FOX-. Dec. 14, 1943, No. 16265/42. [Class 7 (ii)] Blades 12 fixed on an outside fly-wheel 3 housed in a casing 4 co-operate with an outer disc (not shown) to form open boxes or chambers which silence exhaust gases entering and leaving the casing through apertures in the side wall of the casing 4, the gases tending to assist the rota,- tion of the fly-wheel. To increase this action, the blades may be curved. The blades may extend to the centre of the casing.
