Abstract
555,550. Locks. TRIGGS, W. W. (Yale and Towne Manufacturing Co.). June 3, 1942, No. 7555. [Class 44] The core housing 22 of a cylinder lock is screw-threaded into an aperture in a casing plate 28 and is held against removal by a latch 23 pivoted at 24 to the housing and positively moved against the action of a spring 25 by the insertion of the cylinder core 26 so as to engage a square faced slot 27 formed in the plate 28. The cylinder core is latched in position by a spring-biased arm 29, and can only be removed by use of a special key as described in Specification 537,277. The core housing is also secured by the engagement in a slot 21 of an arm 17 of a yoke 16 moved by a screw 15 concealed under a cover plate 12. U.S.A. Specification 1,561,771 also is referred to.
