549,838. Hydrogen; removing carbon monoxide from gases. GAS RESEARCH BOARD, DENT, F. J., and KEY, A. Aug. 15, 1941, No. 10417. [Class 1 (i)] Molybdenum sulphide is used as a catalyst in the reaction of carbon monoxide with steam to produce hydrogen and carbon dioxide. It is not poisond by sulphur compounds, and gases obtained by the gasification of carbonaceous fuel with oxygen and steam may be treated directly with it without purification.
