490,417. Threadless bolts ; furniture joints. DUXBURY, H. L. Feb. 10, 1937, No. 3927. [Class 89 (i)] [Also in Group XIV] Two wooden members 2, 3, are secured to each other by a threadless metal bolt 4 having slots a<3>, b<3> to receive wedges k, m which act in opposite directions upon washers d, f on the bolt, and which are driven into the wooden members. The wooden members may be in alignment or inclined to one another, the sides of the slots a<3>, b3 correspond to the shape of the wedges, and the ends a<4>, b<4> of the bolt are accommodated in circular openings a, b at right-angles to the bolt openings a<2>, b<2>.
