Abstract

449,998. Motor power plant. OULSKY, G. PIO-, 36, Alexse Nenadovitscha, and VOLOKHOV, N., 27, Kosovska, both in Belgrade. Dec. 3, 1935, No. 33482. Convention date, Dec. 3, 1934. [Class 110 (iii)] [See also Group XXVII] The noise of the exhaust is silenced and power is transmitted to the main shaft of an internal-combustion engine A by passing the exhaust gases into a gas turbine B geared directly or through transmission gearing to the shaft and then through an ordinary silencer C. The turbine may be of the action, reaction, or combined types. When applied to aircraft engines, the turbine is so designed that the velocity of the gases is not much in excess of that of the aircraft.
