May 16, 1934, No. 14804. [Class 29] A number of tubes 4 entirely open and unrestricted at their ends extend through the medium in the tank 1, so that cooling-air may flow freely or be forced through them. The upper ends of the tubes may be located in a recess 5, Fig. 4, in the tank wall, or the tubes may extend to shoulders formed on the walls of the tank. They may be slightly bent, as shown in Fig. 5, and may be secured to the tank walls by welding from the outside. Specification 8591/13, [Class 38 (ii)], is referred to.
