Abstract

412,609. Moulded cases &c. UNIVERSAL SEAMLESS CONTAINERS, Ltd., Bush House, Aldwych, and BROWN, K. BURGISS-, 60, Vineyard Hill, Wimbledon, both in London. Dec. 30, 1932, No. 36940. [Class 18.] A bottle or like case or like container moulded from cellulosic pulp material has one open end provided with integrally form closure means, the whole container including the closure means being formed in one moulding operation. As shown the case 1 is provided with four integrally-moulded closure flaps 3 joined to the body of the case along lines 4 of comparative flexibility, these lines being produced in the moulding operation or subsequently. The bottle, &c. is located and gripped in the case by internal projections 6 formed by depressions 5 moulded in the outer surface and projections 6<a>, formed by deep depressions 5<a>, engage endwise with the shoulder of the bottle, &c. to locate it endwise in the case and prevent undue pressure of the neck of the bottle &c. on the closed end 2 of the case. The case may be provided with ornamental mouldings in addition to the locating depressions or without them The case may be of rectangular cross-section or of circular cross-section charging to rectangular cross-section at the open end and only two closure flaps may be provided.
