Abstract

388,619. Vehicle bodies. SUNSALOON BODIES, Ltd. and PEARSON, D. A., Castleford Road, Sparkhill, Birming- ham. May 26, 1932, No. 14908. [Classes 103 (iv) and 108 (i).] A beading for covering and sealing the joint between two panels &c. on a vehicle comprises a metal or like section a having inturned edges adapted to clip a backing strip f of a packing strip b of rubber &c. Fig. 1 shows the beading covering the joint between two panels c, d while Fig. 5 shows the method of sealing where the beading abuts on a transverse flange &c. g the packing strip being allowed to protrude at one end so that as the beading is secured in place the end j of the packing strip is turned upwardly and presses against the flange g.
