Abstract
384,189. Insulation for dynamo-electric machines ; transformers. BRITISH THOMSONHOUSTON CO., Ltd., Crown House, Aldwych, London.-(Assignees of Pfalzgraff, R. M.; 13, Franklin Street, Lynn, Massachusetts, U.S.A.) May 19, 1932, No. 14294. Convention date, May 20, 1931. [Classes 35 and 38 (ii).] Laminations of cores of dynamo-electric machines, transformers, &c. are insulated by a coating of iron phosphate formed by immersing the laminations in a solution containing phosphoric acid and iron oxide. The oxide may be furnished by mill scale on the surface of the laminations. It is stated that conductor bars cast in the slots are insulated from cores thus formed.
