Abstract
347,941. Hair - waving appliances. GOODMAN & SONS, Inc., H., 17, West 17th Street, New York, U.S.A. June 10, 1930, No. 17848. Convention date, Dec. 26, 1929. [Class 131.] A double hair waver comprises a pair of wire loops 10 mounted at one end on a transverse pivot 22, and each provided at the other end with a crimped or constricted portion 13 for interlocking engagement with the sides 18, 19 of a third loop 17 the free ends of which are also mounted on the pivot 22. A plate 25 may be provided adjacent the portions 13 to hold the loops 10 in fixed relation. The ends 14, 15 of the sides 11, 12 of each of the loops 10, and the ends 20, 21 of the sides 18, 19 of the loop 17, are coiled about sleeves 16, spaced apart by a sleeve 23, and mounted on the pivot 22. The pivot 22 and the crimped portions 13 of the loops 10 are raised with respect to the sides of the loops 10, so that the loop 17 is elevated above the loops 10 when in the closed position.
