Abstract

308,943. Lane, J. B. Aug. 10, 1928. Projectiles.-Relates to diaboloshaped or "waisted" bullets for air-guns or pistols, and consists in providing the "waisted" bullet A with a front extension B formed with a flange C of larger diameter than the bore D of the gun. When the bullet is first inserted into the barrel, it enters freely until the flange C meets a flared out part F at the breech end of the gun barrel. The bullet is then forced fully in by hand, the flange C being deformed and making a tight fit in the bore D of the gun barrel. The "waisted" portion A may be hollow.
