Air tubes and chambers.-A series of small air-chambers a is formed, or separately fitted, in the tread portion of a main continuous air-tube b which is shaped so as to embrace more than half the radial depth of the chambers a. In the construction shown, the separate air-chambers a and the main tube b are fitted with non-return valves at d, e communicating with a continuous tube f connected to a common inflation-valve c. In a modification, the chambers a are formed integral with the tube b by means of partition walls. In a further modification, the chambers a are constituted by a series of inflated balls.
