Abstract

284,673. Bosch Akt.-Ges., R. Feb. 3, 1927, [Convention date]. Casings; brush-holders.- A bearing bracket for small dynamos consists of a mass of insulating material, e.g. a condensation product, and the brush-holders and terminals &c. are embedded therein in addition to the bearings. In the construction shown in Fig. 1, for use with a disc commutator, the brush-holders 10, terminals 12, and the bearing 8 are embedded in an end-plate 7 retained on the casing 6 by rods 16. The bearing-cup is inserted only slightly into the insulating mass, and is retained therein by a projection 9. Metal insertions 11 connecting the brush-holders and the terminals are drilled at 13 to receive a lead, and cables may be inserted through apertures 14 and clamped in the terminals by screws 15. A similar construction is adopted for use with a drum commutator, the bracket being of cup form.
