Abstract
256,789. Richards, O. O. Aug. 22, 1925. Folding vehicles. - Folding baby carriages have their wheels mounted on independent arms secured to the main frame by universal or other joints so that they can be folded compactly and can be locked in their service position and the side members carrying the handle are so hinged as to be adapted to fold over the main frame. The wheels bare carried by arms c pivoted to a member d which is itself pivoted on a pin e carried by a bracket m on the main frame. The arms c are adapted to be locked to the main frame by a plate g adapted to engage with a slot in a plate h and a spring f on the pin e enables the plate g to be withdrawn from the slot in the plate h as shown in Fig. 3. The handle j is carried by arms i pivoted to the main frame a and connected to the side frames by pivoted links k. A strut l is provided.
