Abstract
251,263. Gerin, J. April 25, 1925, [Convention date]. Bodies.-A road-vehicle combined chassis and body of the closed type comprises a skeleton frame consisting of longitudinal bearers and beams connected by wooden elements flanked by section-iron members forming the bows on which the covering panels bear. The main longitudinal bearer consists of a central metal blade 1, Fig. 1, wooden portions 2, and section-iron members 3, while the other longitudinal beams consist of wooden portions 4 flanked by section-iron members 5. The lower transverse beams consist of a central blade 7, Fig. 4, and wooden portions 8 flanked by section irons 6, and the frame is further braced by floor portions 10 fitting as shown in Fig. 1. The bows comprise wooden members 4, Fig. 4, flanked by section irons 6. Panelling 18 is secured to the frame. The engine is supported on a cradle formed by longitudinal bearers 13, Fig. 1, supported by rails 14, 15.
