2338884 CLOAK OF WIWNCE and SCARF OF EMINeCEN This invent ior. refers to
te display of i nforn-stion of a comramrat ive natu're in a specialized form relating by being a cloak, to persons of eminence. A "Cloak of Eminence" is a corrmemrat ive obiect, comnermiral ing persons, events, groups of things, dates or periods. A "Scarf of Eminence" is a parallel object for the saTe purpose.
The prototype of the "Cloak of Eminence" is silk, 4ftin diaTeter (approx) and is covered in portraits of (nominally) 100 eminent wamn, alive or dead.
A "Cloak" Tay be made in any rrateria, silk, colton, linen, inalu.ral f ibre, nmrTmde rre t e r a; or any mater ial such as %oocl, steel, bronze or con-position. As i I is a ConTriemorat ive object, the material need not be for litera! wearing.
A "Cloak" my be oi any size that could be identified as covering the shoulders, i.e, from small or miniature to full length or larger.
The display of information is done in 1 ines in an approxinnate radial configuration. The rnaJor radials 6oould have the effect of conforming!n general with the fall of the folds of a cloak even if there are none. The radials would have that effect even if the cloak were dlsplayed in e.g. flat bronze on a wall, Mile the information rrust be clear, sorre artistic licence would be allowed for and any artistic additions would be acceptable.
1', mist be evident that the "Cloak" is intended as cc=ermrative, whether the 'ccrnrat ions" are mrds, pictures, s igna!ures, fac-sin-ii I e 2.
signatures, symbols or specialist colours (such as a football tearn) etc. The "cornnemorations" may be integral -as inscribed onto or into the naterial,- or attached, such as the separate portraits intended to be fixed of the prototype. Cne or more form of the caTremration may be used at the same time. Thus, a (hypothetical) Princess Diana family tree might have nams and coa t s o f a rms; on t he sa7,e ob j ec t.
A "Scarf of Eminence" is a length of "material", whatever is used, as with the ''Cloak", of M ich one or the shorter of the 2 longer sides would be intended to fit around the neck, whether the neck be of a real person, a syntol i c one or even an animal. Agai n, thi s i s i Mended as conTremrat ive rather than an object for wearing, although in both cases, the "Cloak of Erninence" and the "Scarf of B-ninence", they may be objects for wearing. The "Scarf of Eminence" is primarily corm-emorative.
On the "Scarf of Erninence" the display of information is the sa-re in intention as the "Cloak of Eminence" but it lies horizontally as the folds of a scarf for wearing lie horizontally.
Al though the "Cl oak of Erni nence" and the "Scar f of Erni nence" cou I d be made and used as objects for wearing, they are more likely to be artistic creations for the corrmerno rative purposes. 10 CiAtm is VAOD 10 T4-e P-lecWsore LkSG or 00rDr of. tr4awm gymGoL' Figure 1 shows a photograph of the original "Cloak of Eminence" prototype Figure 2 shows a drawing of the basic shape of the prototype "Cloak" Figure 3 shows a drawing of the basic shape of a "Scarf" 3 "CLOW CIF ONAINENCE" / "9CW OF EMINENCE" --------------------------------- ------CLAM 1. The Cloak of Eminence and the Scarf of Eminence are artistic objects intended for corrmemrative purposes to display the persons, events, groups, dates, periods or anything reasonable to be carrrrumrated.
2. The proposed materials are manifold and include fabrics, bronze, steel plastic or any natural or manmade materials.
3. The forms of comrermration may be integral or attached. They may be anything comnermrative such as words, pictures, signatures, facsimiles, syybols or any specialism.
4. To be canTemorative the forms would be approximately radial in the case of the cloak and approximately horizontal in the case of the scarf.
5. The purpose may be for any comTernorative purpose, rrionument or inscription.
