Abstract

A racket is provided in which either the frame, the T-connector, the shaft, the frontcap and the handle, or the frame, the throat, the yoke, the shaft and the handle, are formed as in integral assembly 7 without any seam. Carbon fibre reinforcement may be provided. <IMAGE>

Description

SEAMLESS RACKET This application relates to a racket, particularly to a badminton racket in which the frame, the T-connector, the shaft, the frontcap and the handle, or to a tennis or squash racket in which the frame, the throat, the yoke, the shaft and the handle, are integrally formed without any seam.
Conventionally, as shown in Figure 2 of the accompanying drawings, a badminton racket comprises a frame 1, a T-connector 2, a shaft 3, a frontcap 4, a handle 5 and a rearcap 6, which are separately produced and assembled together. In assembling, the parts adjacent each other should be engaged, for example, by adhesive, then dried and cured. When the shaft 3 is printed with any pattern or character, it should be examined to make sure that it is exactly centered, otherwise the product shall be treated as defective.
No matter what material is used for various parts, for example, aluminium, iron and/or carbon fiber reinforced resins, a number of seams would be unavoidably formed, for instances, between the frame 1 and the T-connector 2, the T-connector 2 and the shaft 3, the shaft 3 and frontcap 4 as well as the frontcap 4 and the handle 5. The seams become the weak points in the racket, especially the seams between the T-connector 2 and the shaft 3, the shaft 3 and the frontcap 4 as well as the frontcap 4 and the handle 5. In the case of deficient engagement on any one of these seams, either a noise or a breakage will be readily occur. In addition, it consumes a lot of labour and time in assembling from a number of these parts.
Similarly, a conventional tennis or squash racket comprises a frame 1, a throat 8, a yoke 9, a shaft 3 and a handle 5, as shown in Figs. 4 and 6, respectively. A lot of seams are formed between the various parts and a number of productions and assemblings are required.
The object of the application is to provide a racket in which the portions of the frame, the T-connector, the shaft, the frontcap and the handle, or the portions of the frame, the throat, the yoke, the shaft and the handle, are integrally formed without any seam.
For a better understanding of the nature and object of this application, reference is made to the following detailed description, which is taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, wherein: Fig. 1 is a plane view depicting a badminton racket of present application; Fig. 2 is a plane view of conventional badminton racket; Fig. 3 is a plane view depicting a tennis racket of present application; Fig. 4 is a plane view of conventional tennis racket; Fig. 5 is a plane view depicting a squash racket of present application; and Fig. 6 is a plane view of conventional squash racket.
With reference to Fig. 1 , it is clearly seen for a badminton racket that except of the rearcap 6 the racket assembly 7 consisting of the portions of corresponding frame, T-connector, shaft, frontcap and handle is integrally formed by using, for example, the material containing carbon fibers in any known manner of moulding process. Similarly, for a tennis or squash racket, as shown in Fig. 3 and Fig. 5, respectively, the racket assemble 7 consisting of the portions of corresponding frame, throat, yoke, shaft and handle is integrally formed by using, for example, the material containing carbon fibers in any known manner of moulding process too. Since these novel rackets are integrally formed, no assembling of various parts is required and no seam will be formed in the entire rackets except the seam between the rearcap 6 and the handle portion of the racket assemble 7, for a badminton racket, this will cause no effect on the strength of the racket.
Therefore, no quality examination is required for the seamless racket since no weak points are presented in whole racket, which in turn causes no noise and reduces the vibration as well as~increases the touch feeling and strike efficiency.
