Abstract
A roadsign comprises components including interchangeable heads which can be assembled/dismantled simply by push-fit and can be stabilised by filling the base. The base also doubles as one of the interchangeable heads. The height of the stems can be varied by trimming the posts supplied. The actual sign motifs can be peeled from self adhesive backing sheets and placed on the heads. <IMAGE>
Description
ROADSIGN PATENT APPLICATION 1) This invention relates to an Activity / Play Roadsign for
indoor or outdoor use.
2) Most children have some from of scaled transport (ie pedal
car or cycle) to utilise in either play or serious mode. To
compliment these a scaled imitation of a roadsign is designed
which are versatile and can be used both indoors (schools,
playgroups etc) and outdoors (gardens, playgrounds etc).
Other alternative uses include directions around shops
such as nurseries. also for cycle proficiency classes where
it could be use to cover an age range from appro 2 years
and upwards.
3i These roadsisns are easy to assemble, having- only five
pieces, also dismantle for later storage. They have stability
when erected and are durable. They have a range of heads to
cover the " lookalike " of all signs on english roadways and
will be packed conveniently to cary from distributions.
4) FIG 1 shows in perspective the five main seperate components.
FIG 2 shows complete assembly.
Refering to the drawing the roadsign comprises of five components as per fig 1 which can be dry assembled without the need of any other equipment.
The base of the assembled unit can be filled to ensure stability.
It can be emptied and dismantled without need of any other equipment for storage when not in use.
The variety of heads to the unit choice of imitation to suit requirements of user.
Claims (6)
1) New development of activity / play model units to enhance
both social and educational levels.
2) Easy to assemble and dismantle components without use of any
other equipment.
3) Base of unit can be filled to enhance stability.
4) Base of unit can be utilised as one of the variety of
roadsign heads.
5) Post of unit can vary in height dependant on reallirernenl of
user.
6) A variety of heads for units will give versatility / choice
to user.
