Abstract

A double-pole water cooled flexible cable comprises a forward direction core (91) which is located along the longitudinal axis of the cable and reverse direction cores (4). The core (1) is placed inside an insulating sheathing (2) forming together with the core (1) a gap (3) for the passage of a cooling agent. The cores (4) are wound up around the sheathing (2) at an angle //c of 15 to 82` to the longitudinal axis of the cable. The cores (1 and 4) are placed inside an elastic sleeve (5) made of an insulating material. The diameter D<u0>u of the reverse direction core (4) and the diameter D<u1>u of the forward direction core (11 are chosen from the following ratio (FORMULA) where n is the number of the reverse direction cores (4). the cable is intended preferably for the use of the electrowelding technology for connecting the power transformer to the pendulous welding tongs.
