Abstract
204,390. Pino, G. June 27, 1922. Aircraft-station ships.-A floating areonautical station comprises a steel framework 2 with openwork decks supported by a number of compartmental pontoons 1 connected to air-compressing plant so that the admission of water to the pontoons can be regulated according to the desired height of the station above water level. A stabilizer 10 constructed of sheet metal and divided into hollow chambers by partitions 24 is provided with ballast 25 at the bottom and a propeller at one end. Airship sheds 6 are built on the topmost deck and an inner recess closed by gates shelters submarines. Repair shops, store rooms, &c. are located on the lower decks.
