Abstract

In apparatus for pulling out the outermost article of a stack, for example tobacco pouches having an extension at one side to form a flap, the pouches are stacked in a magazine 1 with the flap side 7 spaced from an extraction aperture 8 in the magazine. The apparatus has a reciprocating sucker arrangement 12, for opening the pouches, which is synchronized with the oscillation of a curved plate 13 which is adapted to enter the pouch and move it completely outside the extraction aperture of the magazine. At least the flap 3 and the sides of the pouch may be supported in the magazine. <IMAGE>
