Abstract

A foldable arm-chair or lounger which can be readily adjusted from an upright to a reclining position. The arm-chair comprises a foldable tubular frame 1 supporting a detachable flexible seat 5. The backrest 7 of the seat is adjustably supported by a telescopically adjustable upright member 10 mounted on the tubular frame 1 to pivot from the front to the rear. The arm-chair has arm rests 33, 54 which are adjustable so that they are maintained at a predetermined distance from a seat-part 6 of the flexible seat 5 when the arm-chair is adjusted from an upright to a reclining position. <IMAGE>
