Abstract

A telephone dialling and signalling system has a microprocessor controlled digital dialler in which preselected dial codes and code information are stored in a read-only-memory and this information is used to dial alternate telephone numbers until the message gets through to a receiving station. The microprocessor can be used to generate various signal tones and to detect telephone signal codes. The microprocessor can also be used to generate a morse code signal to a receiver constituted by an ordinary telephone hand piece or it can be used to communicate with an automatic control station.
