Abstract

An overload protection circuit which trips (RL1, RL2) after a time delay when overcurrents above a first threshold level (DZ2) are detected is arranged to trip instantaneously (via DZ1) if the overcurrent exceeds a second, higher, level. The time delay may be provided by an RC circuit R4, C2 or by a thermistor. <IMAGE>
