Abstract

198,085. Berry, H. H., and Painton, C. A. Feb. 28, 1922. Ornamenting.-Vases, pictures, and other objects are illuminated for display purposes by a beam of coloured light projected through an opening in a box or support upon which the vase or other object stands. In the construction shown in the Figure, a block of imitation ice is supported upon a casing a, in which is an electric lamp 11 located beneath a variously-coloured disc 4 mounted adjacent an opening, not shown, in the cover 13. The disc is rotated by a motor 1 which also drives a fan 15 for ventilating the casing a and braking the motor. A modified construction is described in which the disc 4 is replaced by a cylindrical lamp which rotates about a horizontal axis.
