Abstract

3823. Ames, R. Feb. 22. Conduits are formed in various sections fitting with spigot - and - socket joints. The conduits are divided longitudinally by webs d of equal thickness, the lowest channel f being used for drainage water. The Figure shows a section through the joint, in which b is the socket and is shown with lugs g, as described in Specification No. 3802, A.D. 1894. The lengths are provided with longitudinal ribs h for ensuring adjustment. The internal webs d do not extend quite the full length. The spigot end is chamfered internally.
