Abstract
1534878 Valves SAUNDERS VALVE CO Ltd 10 March 1976 [8 April 1975] 14409/75 Heading F2V A compressor 1 for a diaphragm of a diaphragm valve has a body part 2 attachable to a spindle 9 and to a diaphragm 18 by either a threaded stud 16 or a bayonet stud 19. As shown the spindle is attached by a split collet 3. A threaded stud may pass through a passage 15 to engage a portion 13 of a spring nut 12 as shown to the right of the centre line. Alternatively a stud 19 with a crosspin 20 may pass through a passage 15 which has slots (not shown) for the pin, the spring 14 of the spring nut being compressed to allow the stud to be turned 90 degrees to bring the pin out of alignment with the slots. In Fig. 2 (not shown) the body is split and held assembled by a circlip (21). In Fig. 3 (not shown) a claw attachment (22) for the spindle head (8B) is retained in the compressor body by a pin (24).
