Abstract

1526861 Tiltable backrests CHRYSLER UNITED KINGDOM Ltd 18 May 1977 [4 June 1976] 23261/76 Heading A4J A tiltable seat squab is mounted to the vehicle by hinge plates 13 pivoted to the squab by coaxial pins 15 and brackets 35 attached to the vehicle and having open ended slots 36 receiving the pins 15, the plates 13 being secured to the brackets 35 by screws 39 passing through holes (38) in plates 13 and threaded into nuts 37 on brackets 35. The squab is retained in the upright or horizontal position by a slidable latch (19) urged into engagement with a recess (17 or 18).
