Abstract
1511865 SO 2 removal; H 2 SO 4 NIPPON OIL CO Ltd 26 Aug 1975 [27 Aug 1974] 35189/75 Heading C1A Sulphur dioxide in a gas stream is oxidized by contacting it with an oxygen containing gas in the presence of a catalyst comprising an aqueous solution containing at least 3 p.p.m. each of pentavalent vanadium ions, divalent manganese ions and trivalent iron ions. Reference is made to Specifications 1,466,783 and 1,481,066.
