Abstract
1510738 Vehicle wheel rims DUNLOP Ltd 12 May 1975 [20 May 1974] 19812/75 Heading B7C The well of a one-piece wheel rim is of reduced axial width radially outwardly from its base so as to retain a well filler 6 therein. The filler may be a ring of elastomeric material and may be under tension when in the well. The sides of the filler may taper radially outwardly or may be parallel. Additionally, the filler may be glued to the well base or secured thereto by a circlip (16) (Fig. 3, not shown). The elastomeric material of the ring preferably has a modulus of 10-25 kg./cm.<SP>2</SP> at 20% extension and 50-100 kg./cm.<SP>2</SP> at 100% extension, and a hardness of 60-90 Shore A.
