Abstract
1476208 Reader/printer AGFA-GEVAERT 6 Aug 1974 [20 Aug 1973] 34668/74 Heading G2A A viewer/printer for micro-images employs oscillograph printing paper, developable by ambient light, and has a low intensity reading lamp, high intensity discharge printing lamp, and developing lamp for uniformly exposing the paper before exposure to ambient light. As shown in Fig. 2, a reader/printer for microfilm or a microfiche 39 has alternative low intensity reading lamp 30 and high intensity discharge printing lamp 31 forming part of a common optical system, together with reflector 32, gold-plated glass heat shield 33, condenser lenses 34 and 35, image-locating glasses 37 and 38, and objective lenses 40 and 41, in a housing 15; and utilizes oscillograph printing paper 44. As shown in Fig. 3, viewing at a screen 12 is effected using a mirror 43, which is pivoted out of the path of paper 44 to make contact with a micro-switch 42 so as to effect flash exposure while the reading lamp is cut out. Paper 44 is exposed after cutting from a supply role 48, after which it is passed over a heated platen, subjected to light from a fluorescent tube 50, and exited through a slit 13.
