Abstract

1470564 Temperature measuring probes KERNFORSCHUNGSANLAGE JULICH GmbH 24 April 1974 [25 April 1973] 17993/74 Addition to 1448133 Heading H1K A temperature measuring probe includes a temperature-dependent resistor 6 connected between arms 3, 4 of a thermocouple at the hot junction. One arm 4 may be, as shown, a tube protecting the resistor 6 and the other arm 3, which is encased in insulation 2; alternatively, arms 3, 4 may comprise two wires located in a protective tube (1, Figs. 1, 3, 4, not shown). The arms 3, 4 may be connected to compensating leads, 8 the junctions 10 of which may themselves form thermocouple junctions. The leads 8 may, as shown, be enclosed in separate tubes 9. Switches allow connection either to apparatus for measuring the thermocouple voltage or to apparatus for measuring the electrical noise in the resistor 6, and hence the temperature.
