Abstract

1462870 Cable harness BOWTHORPE HELLERMANN Ltd 27 June 1974 [13 July 1973] 33616/73 Heading H2C [Also in Division E2] Flexible tongues 4c deflect to admit cables into chosen elongate transverse slots in a plastics strip, which may be nylon to enable build up of cable harnesses. An enlargement 7 and to inhibit removal, generally triangular in section along the opposite edge allows the strip to be held in a complementary profiled foot (Fig. 2, not shown) secured to a board, and pulled out on completion of the harness. The plastics strips are said to be sufficient without the need for lacing the harness. There may be projections 4b from the other side of the slots and both tongues and protuberances may have slanting outer surfaces 4b to guide cables into the narrow throat 5. Preferably the tongues extend almost to the other side of the slot and have an inner slanting surface parallel to the outer slanting surface to guide cables which are in the slot away from the region of the throat 5.
