1442969 Mixing apparatus SULZER BROS Ltd 6 May 1975 [10 May 1974] 18985/75 Addition to 1373142 Heading B1C The mixer of the main patent is modified by the spacing apart of adjacent layers of flow channels preferably by a distance not greater than half the thickness of either layer. As shown the layers 1 consist of corrugated sheets 4 inclined to the direction of flow a of the media to be mixed and spaced by wires 3. Alternatively the flow channels may be defined by parallel guide plates (2, Fig. 1 not shown) and the spacers may be webs (3, Fig. 3 not shown). The modification facilities cleaning of the mixer.
