Abstract

1397555 Amplifying circuits; filters MARCONI INSTRUMENTS Ltd 7 Aug 1972 [25 Aug 1971] 39801/71 Headings H3T and H3U A circuit for coupling the output of an active device 1 in the form of a current source to the input of a further active device includes a first tuned circuit comprising a first parallel combination formed by an inductor 4 and an effective shunt resistance 5, a reactance 8 having one terminal connected to a source of reference potential and a first capacitor 6 coupling the other terminal of the reactance 8 to the first parallel combination, and a second tuned circuit comprising a second parallel combination formed by a second capacitor 7 and a second effective shunt resistance 10, the reactance 8 and a second conductor 9 connected between the second parallel combination and the other terminal of the reactance 8, such that the frequency response curve is substantially symmetrical about the centre frequency. In a second embodiment (Fig. 11, not shown) the arrangement is reversed, i.e. the inductors 4, 9 are replaced by capacitors (13, 16) and the capacitors 6, 7 by inductors (14, 15).
